Some people have been asking about the strategy "comparison bars" in math. I have posted in the resources section a scan from the teacher's manual that gives an overview of comparison bars and how they're used. This file will download as a pdf, which means it will open in Adobe Reader.

This website is published by Math  Expressions which is the same program we use to learn math in school. Our in-class work is on this site as well as a button where you can hear someone reading the directions to you.

Students are writing letters to US Army troops through my cousin Lt. Colonel Ken Kamper, stationed in Seattle, WA area. He is deploying to Afghanistan for a brief while very soon. Here is a picture of him:

Students wrote, performed and directed their own geometry rap videos. The first ones are up.

We posted a video we created about different kinds of lines.

There is a link to a math practice site in the resources called xtra math. We are going to begin practicing our fact fluency on this website. We can also try this at home.
